Broadwater green is common land, located between Broadwater village and Offington park. The green was first recorded in a map of ca 1720.
In the late 18th Century a village pond was situated at the northern end complete with ducking stool.
At the western end there was a gravel pit which was used to supply gravel to repair the local roads.

The green has been used for many years for hosting Cricket & Football matches. It also hosts the local flower show and is also a venue for the travelling funfair.

The southern tip of the green once housed the School and Paine Manwaring's original forge. There was also a drinking trough which was removed after many years in the early 1960's.
