My father used to work at this firm, which has been located in Broadwater for over 200 years. I remember joining my dad on a Saturday morning in his office, where he would show me the various workshops and the projects they were working on. He would tell me the stories of some of the more unusual jobs they would undertake. For example the Lords cricket ground roller would need to be repaired, along with the large key from the Knights Templar church at Sompting. He also mentioned the burial of the old (redundant) steam rollers that were driven into a pit and buried to get rid of them in the old depot in Northbrook road .

This firm started life as blacksmiths and are still in business today selling boilers and fireplaces as well as the installation and servicing of boilers etc

Two views of the old workshop that housed the original forge. The Broadwater drinking fountain is also pictured to the right in the right hand picture
